Famous Woodworths

History has produced many famous Woodworths. However, many of them have been lost to common knowledge. I MUST change that!!! The link titled FAMOUS WOODWORTHS Genealogy Site takes you to the WOODWORTH RESOURCES site, a wealth of Woodworth information in itself. This is followed by a discussion on individual Woodworths I come across that have made a name for themselves. Time to dust them off and bring them back into the sunlight!!!

This section is on Woodworths, both in the United States and Canada, who share a descent from the original English Walter Woodworth, who settled in Scituate, Bay Colony, Massachusetts and in their time became famous politically, perhaps as a Senator, Representative or as a military leader. I plan on expanding upon the information given on this site and its given links, and attempt to find the exact genealogical path back to Walter. This will be followed by Woodworths, or those closely related to Woodworths, not listed on this site, but who became well-known and influential, at least in the period when they lived, if not into the present. If anyone discovers a descent from one of the Woodworths in this section, the Famous Woodworth Genealogy Site should be checked to see if someone has already listed a descent to themselves, thus finding a new Cousin!
